What is WOOP? It stands for Wish, Outcome, Obstacles, and Plan. It is a science-based mental strategy to lead a more fulfilling life. In order to do that, you need to reflect and think about better habits for your life to have and work on them one at a time. For example, a few years ago, I had some physical issues such as pain in my knees and shoulders. I wanted to lead a healthier lifestyle. So, I started to have a workout habit in the morning. I also had a list of negative habits to change such as watching movies at night and disrupting my sleep or overeating when I feel stressed. I often overthink and act impulsively and regret it later. But I can't work on them at the same time. So, the first positive habit was to work out every morning even for a short time.
W: Workout every morning for at least 10 minutes
O: I will be much healthier and set a positive mind in first thing in the morning.
O: Oversleep. Making excuses. The lack of motivation.
P: Setting bedtime earlier. Making a group and being accountable. Writing a journal to motivate myself.
With my WOOP, I've managed to have this positive habit and now my day can't be started without short workout in the morning.
